Boy Scout Canyoneering Program
Imagine lush trees, crystal clear waters flowing through slot canyons. Imagine traveling through spaces very few people ever get to see, journeying through landscapes carved by the power and simplicity of water. Now imagine you, working your way down the canyon, leaping from boulder to boulder, using ropes and harnesses to descend waterfalls and rock walls many feet tall. This is canyoneering. This adventure challenges all our senses, making us fully aware of our commitment to the group and the task at hand. It distills principles of living that encourage us to go beyond ourseves, connecting us to the very core of what makes us alive.
