What does it take to be an Instructor for Alpine Training Services?
Our trip leaders are not guides - they are instructors. An instructor working for Alpine Training Services has undergone dozens of hours of extensive “in house” training, regardless of prior experience. This training program is designed for the applicants to prove their skillsets over time and to build a relationship of trust and care between the all the members of the ATS Team. We require all our guides to have a wilderness medical certification. Once successfully through this phase of training, our instructors are employed as “assistant facilitators” to our discipline specialists. Evaluations are held after each outing through a series of critical debriefings of the trip where we explore all possible areas to improve on. After a considerable amount of time in this role, an ATS assistant instructor is then empowered to begin instructing basic technical courses under the watchful eye of an ATS Lead Instructor. |
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING AN ADVENTURE WITH YOU!
